James Ewell Miller, 83, of Pentwater, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014.

He was born on April 10, 1931, in Monette, Arkansas, son of the late Donald H. and Maxine (Wolfe) Miller.
He attended Wayne High and Schoolcraft College.
He was also a Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War.
On December 22, 1951, he married Dorothy Ann Gilbertson at Prince of Peace Lutheran in Wayne, Michigan.
Jim worked as a supervisor in transmission at Ford Motor Company for 34 years and retired in 1987.
He enjoyed spending his time boating, woodworking, woodcarving, playing tennis, softball, guitar, singing in the choir, building projects, fishing, having campfires, watching Tiger's baseball and traveling to Arizona.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Deanna (Gary) Maike; grandchildren, Coral (Daniel), Emily (Marc), Ryan, Jessica, Levi, Jaime Lynn; and great-grandchildren, Alden, Drake and Nolan.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Gilbertson; and son and daughter-in-law, Donald (Linda) Miller; and brother, Fred Miller.
