Dorothy Ann Miller, 81, of Pentwater,

passed away peacefully on Sunday morning June 22, 2014 after battling cancer. She was the daughter of August and Olga Gilbertson, born May 11, 1933, in Idun (McGrath) Minnesota, the second youngest of nine siblings. Her family moved to Garden City, Michigan when she was a child. She attended Wayne High School and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at Eastern Michigan University. LDN Lakeshore Chrysler NEW In Story LDN-Lakeshore Chrysler In Story At 14, Dottie met the love of her life, James Miller, and they married December 22, 1951, while he was home on leave from the Navy. They had two children, Donald (Linda) and Deanna (Gary Maike). They built a home in Farmington Hills and later one in Pentwater. Her six grandchildren are Coral (Daniel), Emily (Marc), Ryan, Jessica, Levi, and Jaime Lynn; and three great-grand children, Alden, Drake and Nolan. Dottie loved spending time with her grandchildren, but also enjoyed singing and performing, tennis, art, boating, flowers, games, building projects, social events, listening to music, Tiger baseball, and Arizona. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Summit Park, S. Lakeshore Drive, Ludington.
